Payroll Analyst

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Analyst to support accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing for a large employee population based in Windsor, Connecticut. This long-term contract opportunity is well suited for a professional with strong experience handling full-cycle, multi-state payroll in a high-volume environment. The ideal candidate will help ensure payroll accuracy, research and resolve discrepancies, and provide day-to-day support for payroll operations.

Responsibilities:

- Process end-to-end payroll for a workforce of more than 500 employees while meeting established deadlines and quality standards.

- Administer multi-state payroll activities, including earnings, deductions, tax updates, and jurisdiction-specific requirements.

- Review payroll data for completeness and accuracy, investigating variances and correcting issues before final submission.

- Maintain employee payroll records in ADP Workforce Now and ensure updates are entered correctly for ongoing payroll processing.

- Partner with internal stakeholders to address payroll questions, resolve payment concerns, and provide clear guidance on payroll matters.

- Reconcile payroll information and generate reports to support audits, reporting needs, and operational decision-making.

- Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations to reduce risk and maintain proper payroll practices.

Requirements - At least 3 years of experience managing payroll operations in a detail-focused business environment.

- Proven background processing full-cycle payroll from data review through final distribution.

- Experience handling multi-state payroll with a strong understanding of related tax and compliance considerations.

- Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now and the ability to navigate payroll systems efficiently.

- Experience supporting payroll for employee populations exceeding 500 workers.

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues accurately.

- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
