EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATOR I – Primary Teacher Assistant

The Town of Windsor is looking for a dynamic, energetic Full‑time Primary Teacher Assistant. The successful candidate will assist in the planning and implementation for an after‑school Primary Program for children ages 2.9 to 6 years; work with assistants, interns, and contractual employees; recommend materials and supplies as needed; assist in the preparation of daily reports to families; act in the lead role during the teacher’s absence;

attend monthly staff meetings; participate in seminars and training sessions as assigned; and, maintain timely and accurate work records.

• Must have good knowledge of principles and practices of early childhood education and development
• Candidate should hold a current CDA or
• Completion of 12 ECE credits is required within the first year of employment
• Associate’s degree in education, early childhood development or related field with 1 year experience; or, any combination of education and/or experience required
• Successful completion of the Town of Windsor’s pre‑employment background and drug screen – including testing for marijuana

• Hourly range is $36,000 to $40,000 depending on experience and qualifications

• The hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday thru Friday, 52 weeks per year.
