POSITION SUMMARY

CREC seeks a talented STEAM teacher for a teaching position at the Academy of Aerospace and Engineering 6-12. The STEAM position at the Academy of Aerospace and Engineering aims to address content standards in science, technology, engineering, art and math in an incorporated, practical, real‑world context. Creativity and communication will be critically integrated throughout each lesson. STEAM teachers work under the general supervision of their school principal, performing the essential performance responsibilities listed below.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES Duties/Responsibilities
  • Develop and administer curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives.
  • Promote a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning.
  • Develop lesson plans and instructional materials for STEAM and translate lesson plans into learning experiences to develop pertinent sequential assignments, challenge students, and best utilize the available time for instruction.
  • Conduct ongoing assessment of student learning and progress, modify instructional methods to fit individual student needs; and conduct individual and small group instruction as needed.
  • Follow all equipment and software safety, security, and privacy expectations.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
