Middle School Science Teacher (Part-Time Full Time)

The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about integrating technology and hands-on learning into instruction, values collaboration with colleagues, and supports learning in a diverse cultural and academic environment. This role focuses on fostering student success academically and socially while creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement daily lesson plans aligned with national, state, and school science standards, informed by best practices and student developmental needs.
• Deliver high-quality, engaging instruction through discussions, direct teaching, demonstrations, and independent practice.
• Differentiate instruction to ensure access to the curriculum for all students, including those with varying abilities, learning levels, and English proficiency.
• Assess and document student progress using multiple evaluation methods such as observation, performance-based tasks, and assessments aligned with standards.
• Maintain a safe, orderly, and supportive classroom environment by modeling positive behavior and addressing concerns in alignment with school discipline policies.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and growth through conferences and electronic or phone communication.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support student learning and continuous instructional improvement.

Position Requirements

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science Education or a related field
• Completion of an internship or field experience in secondary education
• Strong oral and written communication skills

Preferred:

• Valid teaching certification
