Part-Time NEDP Tutor

Windsor Adult Education is seeking a part-time tutor to support adult learners in our National External Diploma Program (NEDP) as they work toward earning their high school diploma. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys one-on-one instruction and wants to make a meaningful impact in adults' lives.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized tutoring to adult learners in reading, writing, and math
• Support learners preparing for CASAS Math and Reading/Language Arts placement testing
• Teach test-taking strategies to build learner confidence and readiness
• Help learners develop and demonstrate competencies required for NEDP diploma completion
• Incorporate AI tools where appropriate to support learning and skill-building

Qualifications:

• BA/BS required
• Strong communication and writing skills
• Solid math skills, with the ability to teach foundational and applied concepts
• Familiarity with standardized testing, particularly CASAS assessments, preferred
• Comfort using AI tools to enhance instruction
• Patience, flexibility, and a genuine interest in adult education
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience a plus, but not required

Schedule & Pay:

• 5 hours per week, schedule to be arranged
• $51.58/hour
• Position is grant-funded through the end of fiscal year 2028 (June 30, 2028)
