We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to help ensure the reliability and efficiency of our production operations.
Position SummaryThe Maintenance Engineer helps ensure the operational integrity of the facility by maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving mechanical, electrical, and structural systems. This hands‑on role focuses on the reliability and performance of production equipment, facility infrastructure, and building utilities, working closely with cross‑functional teams.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on:
- Heat‑treating equipment
- Electrical controls and distribution systems
- HVAC and ventilation systems
- Conveyor systems and material handling equipment
- Overhead cranes and fork trucks
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Building infrastructure and physical grounds
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control issues quickly and effectively.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and manuals to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Utilize CAD and/or Solid Works to document layouts, propose modifications, and support equipment upgrades.
- Work with PLCs to troubleshoot and, when necessary, program basic control logic.
- Support capital projects and improvements involving new machinery, layouts, or system modifications.
- Ensure all work meets safety, environmental, and operational standards.
- Maintain detailed records in the maintenance tracking system, including work orders and inventory.
- Implement Preventive Maintenance Plan
- Implement spare parts program
- Implement safety programs with the help of plant management and HR
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in an industrial or foundry maintenance environment.
- CAD and/or Solid Works
- PLC programming and troubleshooting
- Electrical diagnostics and repairs
- Hydraulics and mechanical systems
- Plumbing and pneumatics
- Strong problem‑solving abilities and hands‑on mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a physically demanding environment.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs, work at heights, and use PPE in compliance with safety policies.
- Experience in a metal casting or heat‑treating facility.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Licensed in electrical or HVAC a plus.
