5–10 years’ post graduate experience
About the roleWe are hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a growing engineering team working on the design and development of electrical power systems used in advanced energy applications.
This is a hands‑on, all‑round electrical design role covering the full product lifecycle, from initial design through to build, test, and validation.
You will work across a range of voltage levels (24V DC up to 35kV), supporting both product development and system integration activities.
This is not a control systems specialist role and not a field commissioning role.
Key responsibilities- Design and develop electrical systems across LV, MV, and HV ranges (up to 35kV)
- Produce and update electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical
- Design and integrate VFDs, safety circuits, and power distribution systems
- Support full lifecycle electrical design from concept through to validation
- Carry out DFMEA and PFMEA activities
- Support bench testing and product verification of systems
- Assist with troubleshooting and root cause analysis during testing phases
- Work with cross‑functional engineering teams to integrate subsystems
- Ensure compliance with NEC, IEC, IEEE, and UL standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (required)
- 5–10 years’ experience in electrical design engineering
- Strong background in power systems design
- Experience working with LV/MV/HV electrical systems
- Experience with VFDs and safety circuit design
- Exposure to DFMEA / PFMEA processes
- Strong practical engineering mindset with hands‑on capability
- Around 20–30% of the role involves bench testing and system verification
- Focus is on lab‑based validation and engineering testing, not site commissioning
- Fuel cell or electrolyzer systems experience
- Data centre or mission‑critical power systems exposure
- Microgrid or distributed energy systems experience
- Creo or similar CAD tools
- PSpice or other electrical simulation tools
- Renewable energy integration (solar, battery storage)
- Broad, varied electrical engineering role across full lifecycle design
- Opportunity to work across advanced power systems and emerging energy technologies
- Stable onsite role with structured engineering team
