Job SummaryWe’re looking for an Aerospace Composites Process Engineer to support the repair and overhaul of critical gas turbine engine components used in commercial aerospace applications. In this role, you will develop, optimize, and sustain composite repair and layup processes that directly impact product quality, performance, turnaround time, and delivery. Your expertise will help ensure the structural integrity and reliability of composite aerospace components while driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

- Develop, qualify, and optimize composite layup and repair processes for aerospace gas turbine engine components.
- Create and improve procedures for a variety of composite repair methods to ensure structural integrity, quality, and repeatability.
- Provide day-to-day engineering support for production operations, including monitoring yield, reducing rework, and improving process capability.
- Evaluate nonconforming product, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to drive sustainable process improvements.
- Lead activities to ensure production readiness of composite manufacturing and repair equipment.
- Design, develop, and implement tooling, fixtures, and gauging solutions that improve safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Create and maintain process documentation, including operating procedures, work instructions, process specifications, calibration instructions, training materials, and quality records.
- Provide technical support for the implementation and validation of new composite repair technologies and manufacturing methods.
- Support employee training on equipment operation, process controls, and composite repair best practices.
- Partner with maintenance teams to develop and sustain preventive maintenance programs for critical process equipment.
- Participate in Kaizen events, Lean Manufacturing initiatives, and Six Sigma projects to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.
