Maintenance – Warehouse Technician

Location:

Windsor, CT. Based in the warehouse, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Hours:

6am – 2:30pm or 7am – 3:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Salary range: $30 – $35 per hour.

• Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, air conditioners, etc.
• Examines mechanical equipment to diagnose issues.
• Disassembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts.
• Adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary.
• Cleans and lubricates parts.
• Coordinates and/or assists in outside repair services.
• Orders replacement parts.
• Inspect complete repairs.
• Maintains records of repair and maintenance.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• Responsible for special projects as assigned.

• Stooping, standing, and manual dexterity.
• Light lifting (occasional 25 lbs or less).
• Heavy lifting (frequent 25 lbs+).
• Assigned safety equipment must be worn at all times (hard hat, safety shoes with metatarsal, safety glasses with side shields, gloves, arm guards).
• Frequent exposure to mechanical moving parts.

• Two years of warehouse experience.
• Knowledge of all warehouse equipment and commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a warehouse environment.
• Basic measurement competency.
• Basic math competency.
• Strong work ethic.

• Capable of being certified in assigned equipment (forklift, Raymond side-loader, overhead crane, etc.).

• High school graduate or equivalent.

• One-year of maintenance experience.
• PC literacy.
• Certified in assigned equipment (forklift, Raymond side-loader, overhead crane, etc.).
