Harp Home Services, a dynamic, rapidly-growing HVAC, Plumbing, and Electric company, is growing again! We are seeking a highly skilled Dispatch Supervisor to join our team at our Windsor, CT location!
In this role you will:- Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of up to 4 Dispatchers.
- Provide clear and concise communications with department managers, employees and company customers, including keeping customers appraised as to company schedule and requested lead‑times.
- Prepare and issue work schedules, deadlines, and duty assignments for Dispatchers.
- Evaluate employees' job performance and conformance to regulations and recommend appropriate personnel action.
- Implement corporate or departmental policies, procedures, and service standards in conjunction with management.
- Design, implement, or evaluate departmental training and development programs, departmental initiatives, or performance measurement criteria.
- Oversee all communications within specifically assigned territories.
- Train or instruct employees in job duties or company policies or arrange for training to be provided.
- Weekend rotation, and fill in when needed due to callouts or heavy demand.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 5 plus years of experience in customer service or similar role (dispatch experience is preferred).
- 2 plus years in a supervisory role.
- A professional appearance.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all types of customers.
- Strong customer service attitude.
- Able to plan and schedule work rather than just react.
- Able to "think on your feet" to provide customers with needed information for their specific installation or repair.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Strong computer skills with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn customer service management and scheduling/dispatch software.
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) Required.
- Associate's Degree (two year college or technical school) a plus.
- Microsoft Office, Google Maps.
