Operations Manager, Maintenance Manager
Overview
This role is for an Engineering Manager at World Mark Windsor, a condo‑style vacation ownership resort located in Windsor, California.
Responsibilities- Overall maintenance and physical integrity of resort buildings, grounds, and major systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC).
- Oversee preventive maintenance programs, capital projects, life‑safety systems, energy conservation efforts, and engineering staff leadership.
- Manage daily operation of the Maintenance Department, including common area maintenance and pool operations.
- Ensure unit and common area cleanliness and performance per Quality Control Program.
- Coordinate maintenance processes with front office and other departments to ensure owner satisfaction.
- Hire, train, motivate, coach, and develop maintenance associates and develop incentive and training plans.
- Manage financial aspects of the department, including payroll, vendor procurement, audits, and performance reviews.
- Maintain vendor relationships and 3rd‑party contractors such as landscaping, temp labor, maintenance, and mechanical contractors.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, federal codes, CAL OSHA, and brand standards.
- Lead emergency preparedness and response for facility‑related incidents.
- Implement energy‑conservation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and present ideas to groups or individuals.
- Strong customer‑service orientation and problem‑solving skills.
- CPR certification or in process of attaining it.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Certified Pool Operator designation or in process of obtaining.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, climb, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 lbs, work indoors with noise, dust, fumes, vibrations, and outdoors with temperature extremes for at least 25% of the time.
- Flexibility to adjust work schedule, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Four years related maintenance experience; two years supervisory experience.
- Experience leading a preventive maintenance program at hotel, apartment complex, or complex facility.

CompensationBase salary starting at $90,000–$100,000 per year, plus additional factors such as experience, education, skills, training, and location.
