Description
We’re Coburn Technologies - a global leader in precision optical manufacturing - and we’re looking for a Manufacturing Engineer who enjoys hands‑on problem solving, learning how products are built, and helping manufacturing processes run better every day.
This role is a great fit for an engineer who has a solid manufacturing foundation and is ready to grow their skills, take on increasing responsibility, and make a real impact on the shop floor.
What You’ll Do - Manufacturing Engineer / Sustaining Engineer- Support engineering changes and product improvements across existing product lines.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing and product issues in collaboration with engineering, operations, and service teams.
- Assist with quality, corrective action, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to improve manufacturability, reliability, and efficiency.
- Participate in documentation, process updates, and standard work.
- Exposure to EHS initiatives is a plus and an opportunity to expand your skill set.
Requirements
What You Bring - Manufacturing Engineer / Sustaining Engineer
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent hands‑on experience).
- 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Working knowledge of 3D modeling (Solid Works preferred).
- Basic to intermediate understanding of product development, quality systems, and lean manufacturing concepts.
- Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Infor Syte Line is a plus, but not required).
- Strong problem‑solving skills, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.
- A collaborative mindset and a practical, “roll‑up‑your‑sleeves” approach.
You’ll work closely with experienced engineers and manufacturing leaders, gain exposure to the full product lifecycle, and see your work make a difference on the production floor. Environment: Onsite mix of office and manufacturing floor
