A leading aerospace manufacturing company is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician I – Burnisher / Sand Blaster to join its production team. This hands‑on role is ideal for candidates with manufacturing, blasting, grinding, or industrial equipment experience who enjoy working in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
The selected candidate will perform abrasive blasting, burnishing, and surface finishing operations on aerospace components while following strict quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities- Set up and operate burnish cabinets, blasting cabinets, and walk‑in blasting booths
- Load and unload parts and blasting media including glass bead and other materials
- Burnish and blast coated aerospace components to required specifications
- Visually inspect parts before, during, and after processing to ensure quality standards are met
- Use hand tools, grinding equipment, and power tools as needed
- Assist with masking and other production support duties when required
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all company, customer, and safety procedures throughout production
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules and deadlines
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous burnishing, sandblasting, manufacturing, or industrial experience preferred
- Familiarity with power tools and mechanical equipment
- Experience in aerospace or metal finishing environments is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and quality‑focused mindset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching, kneeling, and crouching
- Repetitive use of hands and wrists
- Good hand dexterity and hand‑eye coordination
- Ability to work inside blasting cabinets and production areas for extended periods
- Stable full‑time first‑shift schedule
