Position: Team Leader
Location: 330 Governors Highway, South Windsor, CT 06074

The Team Leader serves as the first level of leadership within the Lean flow line at Electro-Methods and is responsible for coordinating the daily activities of a team of cell technicians.
The Team Leader's primary responsibilities are:
- Create standard work
- Maintain standard work
- Train and coach standard work
- Improve standard work
This role ensures that standardized work is followed and continuously improved while supporting the smooth operation of the production line. The Team Leader plays a critical role in sustaining Lean manufacturing principles by maintaining workflow stability, resolving operational issues, and supporting team development.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Tier 1 daily management meetings.
- Own the daily management process, driving SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost).
- Coordinate daily activities of assigned production team members.
- Ensure production schedules and takt time targets are achieved.
- Monitor workflow and adjust assignments to maintain production flow.
- Provide hands‑on support to operators as needed.
- Operate equipment in the cell as necessary to keep product flowing at takt.
- Create, train, maintain, and improve standard work processes.
- Promote Lean principles, including waste reduction, 6S, and visual management.
- Support Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Respond quickly to production issues or equipment problems.
- Assist operators in troubleshooting machining or process issues.
- Escalate issues when additional support is required.
- Train new employees on safety procedures and standard processes.
- Support cross‑training and workforce capability development.
- Demonstrated leadership or team coordination experience.
- Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles.
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift.
- Occasional lifting of materials up to 40–50 lbs.
- Manufacturing shop floor environment with exposure to machinery, equipment noise, and production activity.
