Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, grinders, and shapers to fabricate metal parts.

• Set up, calibrate, and test equipment and evaluate the results of the test data.
• Verify conformance of finished workpiece to specifications, using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Work from drawings and process sheets to perform production tasks.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks to ensure machine longevity, including lubrication, cleaning, and tool replacement.
• Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
• Conform to specifications, drawings, order requirements, and applicable codes or standards.
• Inspect shafts, impellers, castings and casings.

• Standing for long periods of time.
• Stooping for long periods of time.
• Bending for long periods of time.

• High school diploma or a GED.
• 3 years of experience working in a quality environment in manufacturing.
• Pay attention to details.
• Good oral and written communication.
• Ability to work on a computer.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must possess mechanical aptitude.
• Must understand materials, cutting tools, speeds and feeds, coolant requirements and machining techniques.
• Must be able to pass drug screening.
