Position Summary

The Mechanical Assembler position is responsible for assembling preformed sheet metal parts using equipment such as drills, wrenches, high pressure carts, etc. The ideal candidate will also be assembling and pressure testing valves and similar components.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Use equipment such as drills, wrenches, high pressure carts, screwdrivers, hammers, and any other equipment that will assist in satisfactory performance of duties.
  • Operate equipment safely with self and others in mind.
  • Assemble and pressure test valves and similar components.
  • Accurately interpret assembly and sub‑assembly drawings and sketches.
  • Maintain good housekeeping of work area.
  • Maintain a daily time log of work done on manufacturing and/or production travelers.
  • Other assignments as directed by supervisor.
Other Responsibilities
  • Establish standards and procedures for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain currency of technical and supervisory skills via training, courses, seminars, shows.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience assembling preformed sheet metal parts and using mechanical equipment associated with the duties.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred.

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and measuring scales or tape proficiently.
  • Ability to work in team or solo environment.
  • Familiarity with tablets and computers.
Schedule
  • 1st Shift | Monday‑Friday | 6:30am – 3:00pm
  • 2nd Shift | Monday‑Friday | 3:00pm – 11:30pm | 7% Shift Differential

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
