My aerospace manufacturing client is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to support the development and optimization of CNC programs for complex, precision aerospace components. This is a hands-on role focused on programming, process improvement, troubleshooting, and supporting production.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain CNC programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machining and turning centers.
- Support machining process development, tooling, fixturing, and work instructions.
- Troubleshoot CNC programming, tooling, and machining issues.
- Perform time studies and support production efficiency improvements.
- Use SPC/process capability data to improve quality and first-pass yield.
- Support NPI, cost estimating, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
- 5–10 years of CNC programming experience, preferably in aerospace manufacturing.
- Experience with 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machining, turning, and/or grinding.
- CAM experience with Esprit, Mastercam, Edgecam, GibbsCAM, or Fusion 360.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and fixturing.
- Experience with Solid Works or NX is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Aerospace or other precision manufacturing experience preferred.
