Record Center Specialist
We are seeking a dedicated Record Center Specialist for our facility in Windsor, CT. Windsor is a charming town known for its rich history and vibrant community, offering a great place to live and work. This role involves physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving boxes, bins, and totes ranging from 24 lbs to over 100 lbs. The position requires frequent kneeling, squatting, reaching, and bending forward.
Responsibilities- Process orders and move boxes of files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other materials.
- Lift, carry, and arrange boxes while standing, stooping, crawling, kneeling, and twisting.
- Operate hand trucks and pallet jacks on uneven and concrete surfaces.
- Load and shrink wrap pallets at ground level or on carts.
- Load boxes onto pallets and load pallets onto trucks.
- Walk, stand, kneel, squat, stoop, and bend for extended periods.
- Work independently to grip, lift, push, pull, and carry boxes including up and down inclines, stairs, and over changes in walking surface/elevation.
- Read and write English proficiently.
- Use the proprietary computer system to track orders and determine the location of boxes.
- Operate a handheld scanner.
- Climb and balance on ladders.
- Lift and carry boxes weighing up to 100 lbs. without assistance for prolonged periods.
- Load, operate, and move hand carts, pallet jacks, and various other material handling aids.
- Protective footwear is required and must meet ASTM F2413-11 "Standard Specification for Performance Requirements for Protective (Safety) Toe Cap Footwear" with a slip-resistant rating of "Better or Best." Work Schedule
Normal work schedule is 5 days a week, 9 hours a day, including a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks.
