Infection Control Wound Nurse RN

Full Time Day Shift | Week On-Call Support Rotation | No Weekend Requirements |

Experience in Long Term Care Required | Infection Control/Wound Management Experience Required | Registered Nurse RN Required | Infection Control/Wound certification required.

• Collaborate with facility leadership and medical director to develop, implement, and evaluate the annual infection prevention goals and action plan.
• Establish a facility-wide system for prevention, identification, investigation, and control of infections among residents, staff, and visitors, including surveillance to identify communicable diseases before they spread.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date records of ongoing staff development programs for all personnel within facility.
• Work closely with department heads to assess ongoing learning needs of employees.
• Assess the unique needs of each patient to determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families on best practices to promote healing and wellness.
• Track treatments and patient progress according to HIPAA guidelines.
• Coordinate with supervising physicians to ensure smooth recovery process.
• Other duties as assigned by Director of Nursing and Administrator.

• Prior experience managing staff is preferred.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a group.
• Computer knowledge.
• Previous long-term care experience required.
• Infection Control, wound certification, nursing management experience preferred.

• Must have an active Registered Nurse RN license.
• Infection Control/Wound certification required.
