POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Assurance (QA) Technician is in charge of incoming first‑article inspection, unit inspection, shipping, and disposition of non‑confirming product. The QA Technician also assists the QA Manager in preparing plans, procedures, and inspection criteria and supports the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOther duties may be assigned.
- Helps develop, organize, and maintain information regarding First Article Inspections from outside vendors.
- Performs formal and informal audits of all material, processes, products, and systems as needed or required.
- Helps maintain the Non‑Conformance systems of QMS.
- Performs final inspection and evaluation of product/units for shipment to customers.
- Other assignments as assigned by the QA Manager.
- CIT:
Establish standards and procedures for continuous improvement throughout factory and QA sphere of influence. - ISO Standards Implementation:
Act as an active team member to secure and maintain a Quality Management System to the standards. - Maintain currency with respect to technical and supervisory skills by attending training classes, special technical and administration courses, seminars, exhibits, and trade shows as needed.

- 5 years of experience in active inspection, preferably final product inspection, MRB and non‑conformance to include Root Cause/Corrective Action, and auditing.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Engineering or technical‑related experience desired.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Familiar with basic measuring equipment including testing and record maintenance.
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and MRP navigation.
- Ability to work in a team or solo environment.
- Associate's degree preferred with one year of experience, or 5+ years experience in inspection and QA related capacities.
