Our client is an established and well-respected technical manufacturer seeking a Senior Standards Lab Technician to support critical calibration lab operations in Windsor, CT. This is a highly visible role focused on ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of measurement standards that support quality-driven manufacturing applications across a variety of industries. This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on calibration or metrology professional with strong ISO 9001 and/or ISO 17025 experience who enjoys technical problem-solving, process ownership, and mentoring others.
You’ll serve as a technical leader within the lab—supporting calibration excellence, driving quality system compliance, improving processes, and helping develop junior team members. - Perform complex calibration, measurement, analysis, and reporting activities
- Maintain calibration certifications, records, and database integrity
- Improve lab procedures, work instructions, and recertification processes
- Support ISO 9001 and/or ISO 17025 compliance and audit readiness
- Maintain and validate measurement equipment performance
- Identify issues impacting quality or accuracy and recommend corrective action
- Mentor junior technicians and support workflow prioritization
- Partner with Quality, Repair, and Operations teams
- Perform customer sample testing and validate reporting accuracy
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across lab operations
- Support KPI tracking, system improvements, and leadership coverage as needed
- 4+ years in a calibration lab, metrology lab, or technical measurement environment required
- Experience with laboratory instrumentation and measurement systems required
- Experience working within ISO 9001 OR ISO 17025 environments required
- Excellent communication skills and a continuous improvement mindset required
