Job Description & How to Apply Below
Picture your day starting on the production floor, coffee in hand, reviewing the first article for a critical aerospace assembly. You’re the person who validates the setup, confirms tooling is dialed in, and ensures every feature meets drawing and specification requirements before production proceeds. As the go-to quality voice for the cell, you collaborate closely with Certified Inspectors, Designated Quality Representatives (DQRs), Customer Logistical Certification and Shipping Reviewers (CLCSRs), and Product Quality Engineers (PQEs) to keep defects out and our customers protected.
What you’ll do Incoming inspection and certification review
Inspect incoming parts, materials, and documentation using the applicable inspection plan and customer criteria.
Review supplier certifications, test results, and documentation packages and coordinate CLCSR approval for final acceptance.
Confirm documents align with purchase order, drawings, and specifications; escalate discrepancies to the PQE, CLCSR, or Quality Manager.
First piece and in‑process validation
Execute first piece inspections to verify setup, tooling, and process accuracy before full run.
Perform in‑process checks to maintain product conformity throughout manufacturing.
Alert the team immediately when defects, trends, or process issues appear, and verify rework effectiveness before release.
Final inspection and customer protection
Conduct final inspections to ensure conformance to drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
Coordinate with DQRs when customer data, documentation, or final review is needed.
Ensure all measurements, records, and inspection documentation are complete and accurate.
Nonconformance control and corrective action support
Record nonconformances clearly in the QMS/ERP system.
Provide detailed inputs for MRB activities, PQE investigations, and 8D corrective action teams.
Verify corrective actions for effectiveness at the product level.
