CMM Metrology & Quality Engineer — Product Introduction

Role Snapshot

• Own dimensional verification for new machined components by programming and optimizing CMM routines in PC-DIMS and MCOSMOS
• Translate engineering drawings, CAD, and specifications into clear, efficient inspection plans
• Design/select fixturing, tooling, and setups to ensure measurement repeatability and accuracy
• Verify conformance by reviewing inspection and testing results against all requirements
• Validate measurement integrity with MSA and gage R&R
• Author and sustain control plans, inspection plans, FAI, and PPAP packages to customer requirements
• Confirm project and process control documentation meets internal, customer, and contract expectations
• Collaborate daily with engineers, machinists, and quality control teams to resolve issues
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe; follow all safety guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Quality Engineer (or comparable) experience;
  Engineering degree preferred
• 3+ years of hands‑on CMM programming experience
• Strong command of GD&T, print reading, and inspection techniques
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100
• Manufacturing‑based quality inspection/assurance experience
• Statistical analysis capability using tools such as Minitab and SPC
• Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment
• Team‑first attitude; passion for excellence and continuous improvement
• Works independently; able to drive initiatives with minimal supervision
