Job Title: Heavy-Duty Truck Sales Representative
Location: Madison, WI
Company: I-State Truck Center
I-State Truck Center is seeking a motivated Heavy-Duty Truck Sales Representative with experience in Western Star trucks. This role focuses on building customer relationships, identifying needs, and driving sales through product expertise and exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities- Engage new and existing customers to recommend Western Star truck solutions
- Conduct demos, presentations, and test drives
- Build relationships with fleet managers, owner-operators, and industry clients
- Negotiate pricing, financing, and trade-ins to close deals
- Maintain strong knowledge of Western Star models, specs, and applications
- Stay current on industry trends and competitors
- Educate customers on performance, durability, and efficiency benefits
- Meet or exceed sales targets
- Generate leads through networking, referrals, and industry events
- Partner with leadership on growth and market share strategies
- Track activity and pipeline in CRM
- Coordinate with parts and service teams for delivery and customization
- Provide post-sale follow-up to ensure satisfaction and repeat business
Experience
- 2–3+ years in truck, automotive, or related sales
- Proven ability to meet sales goals
- Western Star experience preferred
Skills
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to explain technical specs, financing, and warranties
- CRM and Microsoft Office proficiency
Education & Licensing
- High school diploma required; degree preferred
