Responsibilities- Perform timely and proper inspection, repair, maintenance, and installation of customer equipment in a manner that exceeds customer expectations and is consistent with Rite-Hite's image as the industry leader in customer service.
- Develop and maintain good customer relations, exemplifying Rite-Hite's commitment to customer service.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and safety guidelines.
- Perform installation, inspection, and repair of equipment in the field expeditiously while assuring the customer's needs are met and exceeded.
- Support and guide other Service Technicians with less experience through complex problems in the field as skills develop.
- Train other Service Technicians in proper field installation, service and repair of equipment, and in administrative procedures that reflect a commitment to customer service.
- Use handheld devices (or paper backup forms if needed) to accurately complete all necessary paperwork associated with field service, repair, and installation, including service tickets, timesheets, open‑job tracking forms and safety analysis sheets.
- Maintain compliance with operation and communication standards as outlined in the Field Service Technician Handbook.
- Operate a service vehicle in compliance with DOT Driver Qualification standards, as well as truck‑based cranes, forklifts, welders, torches, and power and hand tools.
- Follow all customer‑specific requirements, policies, safety guidelines, and directions on their work sites.
- Collaborate with all other departments in the company, communicating and coordinating activities to efficiently maximize customer satisfaction.
- Occasional domestic overnight travel (under 20% annually) may be required for training or supporting customers at other offices.
Other duties may be assigned.
Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to five years of experience in repair and service of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical equipment.
Qualifications- Valid driver's license.
- Pass DOT medical exam and maintain applicable driver qualification standards at all times.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints & schematics, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide; use whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rates, ratios, percentages; draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
This role has no supervisory responsibilities.

CompensationThe hiring range for this position in USA-CT-Windsor is $26.85-$36.90 per hour based on a 40‑hour work week. Hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay offered will reflect internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus opportunity may be provided as part of the compensation package, alongside the full range of benefits including medical, dental, life, vision insurance, disability, 401(k) plan, profit sharing, and PTO/vacation.
