Position Overview:

The Measure Tech is responsible for traveling to customer homes in Connecticut and Massachusetts to measure window and door openings for replacement windows and doors. This role involves interacting with customers, answering product questions, reviewing project details, and accurately documenting measurements and additional job-related notes. The Measure Tech will play a key role in ensuring products are properly ordered and installed by effectively communicating with installers and office staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Interaction & Consultation:

Travel to customer homes to measure window and door openings for replacement products.

Answer customer questions regarding product specifications, installation procedures, and project details.

Provide a professional and courteous customer experience while reviewing project expectations and addressing concerns.

Accurate Measurement & Documentation:

Accurately measure window and door openings, ensuring that all measurements are recorded for proper product ordering and installation.

Document any additional job construction notes that could affect the installation process.

Ensure all information is communicated clearly to the installation team and office staff.

Communication & Coordination:

Coordinate with installers and office staff to communicate project needs and job-specific details.

Manage time effectively to ensure timely completion of all scheduled visits and measurements.

Qualifications & Skills:

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in window and door installation or a related field, with a strong understanding of product specifications and installation techniques.

Customer Service:

Possess a cooperative and easy-going personality, ensuring a positive and professional experience when interacting with customers.

Project Management & Mechanical Aptitude:

Ability to manage multiple project tasks and responsibilities.

Strong mechanical aptitude to understand unique construction situations and propose practical solutions when necessary.

Additional Information:

This position requires travel to customer homes within the state of Connecticut and Massachusetts.

Must possess a valid driver’s license.
