Summary
Perform maintenance and repairs for all areas related to building. Build and modify countertops, build shelving, replace and repair doors, install locksets, install corner guards, install cart corral, install slatwall and perform some painting and fabrication, conforming to local building codes.
Pay Range$28.10–$28.10
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Study blueprints, sketches, or building plans for information pertaining to the type of material required (e.g., lumber or fiberboard) and dimensions of structure or fixture to be fabricated.
- Select specified type of lumber or other materials.
- Prepare layout and mark cutting and assembly lines on materials.
- Shape materials to prescribed measurements.
- Assemble cut and shaped materials and fasten them together with nails, dowel pins, or glue.
- Verify trueness of structure with plumb bob and carpenter's level.
- Respond to safety issues.
- Maintain and prepare work list for model stores.
- Aid in preparation of bill of material work list.
- Adhere to company guidelines.
- Troubleshoot and PM HVAC equipment.
- Perform HVAC repairs.
- Assist with HVAC issues through control strategies and remote monitoring.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Valid driver’s license.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Submittable to driver‑licensing monitoring.
- Satisfactory performance reviews.
- Strong communication skills.
- Good communication skills with store personnel.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand control strategies.
- Familiarity with power saws and related power and hand tools.
- Associate’s degree in a mechanical, HVAC, or electrical field of study or equivalent experience.
- Controls background/experience including PLC logic, remote monitoring, and electronics.
- Minimum five years of related experience as a Carpenter II and/or equivalent.
- Exposure to cold environment – occasional 1–3 hours.
- Exposure to hot environment – occasional 1–3 hours.
- Standing – constant 5–8 hours.
- Sitting – occasional 1–3 hours.
- Walking – constant 5–8 hours.
- Twisting – constant 5–8 hours.
- Bending – constant 5–8 hours.
- Grasping/finger movement & dexterity – constant 5–8 hours.
- Squatting/kneeling – frequent 3–5 hours.
- Drills, saws, ladders, hand tools, computers, test gauges, meters, applicable refrigerant tools.
