EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time, 40 hours/week

Mills House is a community-based group home that provides 24‑hour staffing and a therapeutic component for four boys aged 14‑21 who have experienced serious emotional and behavioral problems. The home allows the boys to live in a more familial, natural setting within the community, emphasizing the development of skills for living successfully outside an institutional setting through participation in normative community activities.
Responsibilities- Maintain the physical environment and program standards set by funders, accreditors, and agency policies.
- Monitor self‑administration of client medications in accordance with agency medication policies and procedures.
- Effectively utilize appropriate communication methods/tools to collaborate with co‑workers and clients.
- Teach and assist all residents in areas of developmentally appropriate activities of daily living.
- Assist/Manage administrative functions and tasks at the direction of the supervisor.
- Prepare and facilitate educational and skill‑building groups and one‑to‑one interventions as directed by the treatment plan.
- Collaborate and coordinate care with providers and families as needed.
- Assist residents in addressing medical and psychiatric needs.
- Maintain documentation in compliance with agency and program standards.
- Participate in staff meetings, supervision, trainings, and other meetings as assigned.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- High diploma or GED required.
- Two years of experience working with a relevant population preferred.
$19.00/hour minimum, and up commensurate upon experience. Actual rates are determined at the time of offer and are based on relevant experience and internal equity, as well as adherence to our internal equity policy. Many positions offer program/location differentials and/or sign‑on incentives. (Part‑time positions would be pro‑rated based on hours worked.)
