Driver Helper

Job Summary

The Driver's helper is responsible for assisting the driver in all day‑to‑day activities, including loading and unloading the truck, and any other duties the driver may need. Shift: Monday‑Friday, 4×10 hour days (schedule rotates with one day off during the week).

• Accurately load daily route onto the truck.
• Scan daily route onto the truck.
• Assist driver with navigating to deliveries.
• Assist driver with carrying freight into a business or residence destination.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to read a map and general geographic knowledge of the area.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs. unassisted.
• Must possess good customer service skills.

High School or better.

The position requires standing and walking for extended periods, stooping, kneeling, crouching, using hands, reaching, bending, and lifting objects above the head. Employees must be able to regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds and use pallet jacks and forklifts. Regular use of a phone and PC, reading and writing of shipping documents is also required.

$18.00 to $21.00 per hour (anticipated starting salary range). The company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location.
