Offloader - Final Mile

Responsibilities

• Unloading tractor trailer loads of furniture and staging them for delivery.
• Assemble items according to manufacturer directions.
• Maintain a minimum daily offloading output as directed by management.
• Keep the workspace clean and safe.
• Use equipment safely to protect all team members.
• Place delivery items as specified by management.
• Communicate effectively and work professionally with coworkers.
• Adhere to the Werner Final Mile Values.
• Maintain regular and prompt attendance; work a flexible schedule as required.

• High school graduate or equivalent experience.
• One or more years of experience in transportation, logistics, customer product assembly, delivery of furniture or appliances, or a moving company.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Speak English and communicate with coworkers.
• Read assembly instructions.

• Reading documents: 75-100 %.
• Communication in person: 100 %.
• Standing and walking: 100 %.
• Climbing, stooping, squatting, and kneeling: 0-75 %.
• Dexterity, using hand dolly/hand cart: 75-100 %.
• Lifting more than 50-80 pounds: 75-100 %.

The expected starting pay range for this position is $18.83 - $25.10 per hour, determined by experience, skills, and qualifications.
