Responsibilities- Conduct testing of control valve software and hardware to ensure proper functionality.
- Use schematic drawings and software logic diagrams for reference in testing software.
- Actuates all features on product to assure proper functionality.
- Tests hardware and software functionality of water treatment controls.
- Confirms final software product meets the specifications.
- Measure voltages/currents/resistance utilizing a digital multi-meter.
- Monitor control operation utilizing oscilloscope.
- Identify software issues and document findings.
- Interact with electrical and software engineers as necessary.
- Effectively communicate any electronic or software issues with management, technical support, sales, production staff, purchasing, engineering, accounting, suppliers, and customers.
- Evaluate test results of pilot models and recommend changes to eliminate malfunctions.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to address and resolve manufacturing, design, and quality problems.
- Ensure continuous on‑going improvement of processes and methods.
- Perform light soldering and electrical component assembly.
- Review board quality issues to help determine root causes.
- Compose technical procedures, instructions, and reports.
- Follow and comply with all quality, safety, and work rules.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate degree in electronics or equivalent experience.
- Ability to create/read schematics, engineering drawings, technical procedures, instructions, reports, software logic diagrams and other documents.
- Able to work independently.
- Familiarity with water treatment, specifically control valve operation.
- Proficiency in using multi-meter, oscilloscope and other test equipment and gauges.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proficient computer experience with word processing, spreadsheets, etc.
- Electrical/electronic background required.
- Familiarity with embedded programming languages (C/C++/Assembly).
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical data.
- Extended sitting and standing.
- Capable of lifting to 25 pounds.
- Attention to detail.
