Testing
- Provide direction for accurate and safe performance and recording results of sleep testing in a timely manner while maintaining quality control standards.
- Function as sleep technologists if needed by performing and scoring sleep studies
- Manage staffing/scheduling.
- Provide direction for supervising, coaching, maintaining department inventory, and evaluating work- flow for accuracy, performance, and promptness.
- Participates in yearly staff evaluations/Excels
- Organize Sleep Committee Meetings
- Supervise Lead Techs and help them navigate through problems that may arise
- Collaborate with Business Development Team to manage claims, authorizations, denials, provide financial options and find solutions for errors
- Makes decision with overall departmental budget in mind.
- Coordinate supply procurement processes.
- Coach staff and supervise to resolve personnel issues.
- Oversight of Sleep Acquisition/Information Systems.
- Maintains Quality Assurance, Performance Improvement activities, and sleep testing activities for the Sleep Disorders Center.
- Assure compliance with regulatory agencies and all Federal, State, and Local regulations.
- Provide direction for evaluating quality control programs in coordination with Internal Audit team
- Participates in continuing education programs and assists with training programs for personnel.
- Fulfills the responsibilities of this position in a caring manner.
- Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited Polysomnography Program
- Required - RPSGT Credential with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Polysomnography
- Required - Associates required, Bachelor’s Degree- preferred
- Proficient in use of personal computers
- Experience using software programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks
- Very good organizational skills and ability to manage time efficiently without supervision
- Must maintain confidentiality in the handling of patient information
- Ability to understand, track, and use data to make strategic departmental decisions
- Must maintain knowledge of all SDC operations and follow policies, procedures, and protocols
