Testing

  • Provide direction for accurate and safe performance and recording results of sleep testing in a timely manner while maintaining quality control standards.
  • Function as sleep technologists if needed by performing and scoring sleep studies
  • Manage staffing/scheduling.
Supervision
  • Provide direction for supervising, coaching, maintaining department inventory, and evaluating work- flow for accuracy, performance, and promptness.
  • Participates in yearly staff evaluations/Excels
  • Organize Sleep Committee Meetings
  • Supervise Lead Techs and help them navigate through problems that may arise
  • Collaborate with Business Development Team to manage claims, authorizations, denials, provide financial options and find solutions for errors
Management
  • Makes decision with overall departmental budget in mind.
  • Coordinate supply procurement processes.
  • Coach staff and supervise to resolve personnel issues.
  • Oversight of Sleep Acquisition/Information Systems.
  • Maintains Quality Assurance, Performance Improvement activities, and sleep testing activities for the Sleep Disorders Center.
  • Assure compliance with regulatory agencies and all Federal, State, and Local regulations.
Quality Control
  • Provide direction for evaluating quality control programs in coordination with Internal Audit team
Education
  • Participates in continuing education programs and assists with training programs for personnel.
Caring
  • Fulfills the responsibilities of this position in a caring manner.
Job Knowledge
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited Polysomnography Program
    - Required
  • RPSGT Credential with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Polysomnography
    - Required
  • Associates required, Bachelor’s Degree- preferred
  • Proficient in use of personal computers
  • Experience using software programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks
  • Very good organizational skills and ability to manage time efficiently without supervision
  • Must maintain confidentiality in the handling of patient information
  • Ability to understand, track, and use data to make strategic departmental decisions
  • Must maintain knowledge of all SDC operations and follow policies, procedures, and protocols
