JOB SUMMARY

The Radiology Technologist at North Mississippi Health Services is responsible for performing high‑quality and cost‑efficient diagnostic procedures for patients and the department. They ensure timely radiology services, maintain equipment, and assist physicians and medical staff during procedures.

• Performs high quality/cost efficient diagnostic procedures for patient and department.
• Provides radiology services in a timely manner while performing high quality and cost‑efficient diagnostic procedures.
• Organizes workflow to prevent delays.
• Assists physicians and other medical staff during procedures as requested/required.
• Provides excellent customer service in an accurate and efficient manner.
• Communicates effectively with patients, family members, physicians, other medical staff and NMMC staff members.
• Attends required in‑services, annual review and educational programs.
• Is knowledgeable of procedures, positions, supplies, and equipment used in radiological examinations.
• Stays abreast of changes in radiology.
• Serves patient population categories of neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.
• Adheres to NMHS/NMMC policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Complies with applicable local, state and federal policies, procedures, guidelines, regulations, laws and statutes.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Associate's Degree graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program. Required.

• ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist
• CPR – Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation
