Specimen Processor

Pride Health is hiring for a Specimen Technician to support our client’s medical facility based in Winfield IL, 60190. This is a 3-month assignment with a possibility of extension and conversion into a full time, opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Responsibilities:

• Perform general specimen processing tasks including A‑station work, presorting, imaging, microfilming, centrifugation, and aliquoting.
• Enter data accurately and efficiently with strong attention to detail.
• Transport processed specimens to the laboratory in a timely and organized manner.
• Understand specimen types and associated test requirements.
• Maintain compliance with test‑ordering regulations, adapting to frequent daily updates.
• Deliver high‑quality work to support customer satisfaction and laboratory accuracy.
• Demonstrate flexibility in handling frequent workflow changes and customer demands.
• Work primarily night shifts with required availability for weekends, holidays, on‑call duties, and overtime.

Education/Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Basic understanding of computers.

Basic knowledge of laboratory testing or specimen processing.

Ability to understand medical terminology used in a clinical laboratory.

Ability to work effectively in a structured, production‑focused environment

Pay Range:

$ 16.20 - $18 /hr
