Salary and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $59.43 - $77.26 (Hourly Rate). Placement within the range depends on relevant work experience and internal equity. For positions represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range is guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of designated departments, divisions, programs, services and/or locations. Define and oversee workflows and staffing, redirect resources to critical areas as needed, develop operating and capital budgets, monitor budget performance, explain variances, and apply corrective action to ensure budget compliance. 24/7 accountability.
- Provide support, guidance, and supervision to team members, ensuring competencies in addressing behavioral, social, financial, and environmental issues for patients to achieve optimum clinical quality, patient satisfaction, and cost-effective care. Prepare and deliver annual and mid-year reviews, coach through complex situations, ensure tools (including technology) are available, and partnering with NM system stakeholders for improvements.
- Recommend department goals to leadership and plan progress toward goals throughout the year. Communicate goal achievement timelines, risks, and decisions needed with leadership on a regular cadence.
- Ensure department policies and processes meet current standards of the Joint Commission and all federal, state, and regulatory requirements. Revise or create policies as needed; target quality improvement by reducing variation, eliminating redundancy, or implementing new technology.
- Manage escalations by interpreting information to identify patient requirements relative to age-specific needs and connect those with the resources required to coordinate care.

Additional Responsibilities
- Business expertise:
Knowledge of Joint Commission standards and all federal, state, and regulatory requirements. - Ability to analyze data for decision making and make data-driven recommendations.
- Ability to create budgets in accordance with guidelines and align with targets.
- Ability to apply change management principles while leading.
- Strong computing skills, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and EMR.
- Attention to detail and ability to review own and others work for accuracy.

Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor s degree in nursing with master s degree or master s degree in nursing. Exceptions considered for applicants with a Bachelor s degree actively enrolled in a master s program. External and internal applicants must be within 1 year of completion.
- Three years of nursing or health care experience with increasing responsibilities.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification.
- Current clinical license in the state of hospital residence.
- Magnet-recognized certification for the specialty area.
- PALS Certification within 6 months of hire.
