Full Time Days 6am-6:30pm with rotating every other weekends.

- 26-bed unit designed to provide treatment, care, and service to adults patients with acute medical, surgical and cardiac conditions specializing in complicated surgeries.
- Patient population will include but are not limited to esophagectomies, whipples, surgical-oncology cases, high-volume liposuction, multi-level spinal fusions, and vascular cases. Other opportunities for this unit will be any surgical patients that require a medication drip that is not appropriate for the medical-surgical inpatient unit.
- This unit will also be open to medical step-down and overflow patients to enhance hospital throughput.
- Direct care of the 2A patients will be provided by registered nurses with an ideal ratio of 1:3-4 patients for step down level of care.
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Nursing students who have completed one clinical rotation
- Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, or nursing school students with one semester of clinical completed
- CPR – Basic Life Support
Preferred:
- Phlebotomy experience
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Assistant program or Graduate of Phlebotomy course
