Medical Assistant – Cardiology

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs, and collecting health history
• Support physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes, and first aid procedures
• Assist with immunizations or injections when certified
• Assist patients with prescription requests and address pharmacy callbacks
• Process provider orders, update charting, and maintain filing
• Conduct onsite EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose, and urine pregnancy testing
• Maintain clean, warm, and inviting examination rooms
• Provide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values
• Travel to assist other local clinics as required

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required
• Active medical assistant certification may be required through AMT, NCCT, NHA, ARMA, or AAMA for several clinical specialties
• CPR certification or willingness to become certified upon hire required
• May require phlebotomy certification within 90 days of hire
• Prior experience as an MA, CMA, CNA, EMT, or 2 years of prior experience working in a medical office assisting with patient care
• Prior experience using an electronic medical record preferred
  
  Travel to assist other local clinics may be required

Demonstrates proficiency in patient care, including vital sign measurement, EKG, and blood glucose testing, while providing exceptional customer service. Holds relevant medical assistant certifications and maintains compliance with health and safety standards.
