The salary range for this position is $34.50–$55.20 per hour.
Sign‑on bonus available: $3,000.
External candidates must have at least 2 years of level III NICU experience to qualify for the sign‑on bonus.

The Staff Nurse Inpatient reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and regulatory and accreditation standards. A registered professional nurse who prescribes, delegates and coordinates nursing care to the acutely ill patient through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation. Effectively interacts with patients, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining ANA standards of professional nursing practice.
Responsibilities- Collect data, analyze it, develop and implement individualized plans, coordinate care delivery, and evaluate progress toward outcomes.
- Direct care and determine the appropriate utilization of any assistants involved in providing direct patient care.
- Collaborate with patient, family, physicians and ancillary staff; create a documented plan focused on outcomes and decisions related to the care and delivery of services.
- Participate in shared governance, committee work, and unit projects.
- Evaluate and document patient responses to nursing interventions in the health record and individualize the plan of care based on findings.
- Utilize best available evidence, including research findings, to guide practice decisions.
Required:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate with others
- Strong analytical abilities
- Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of first day at NM
Preferred:
- Experience in specific clinical area
- Additional preferences for the Emergency Room and Pediatric Emergency Room
- Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS)
- Emergency Communications Registered Nurse
- Certified Pediatric Nurse
- Certified Emergency Nurse
