A clinically competent, registered professional nurse who prescribes, delegates, and coordinates care for acutely ill patients. The nurse thoroughly applies the nursing process, interacts effectively with patients, families, and the health team, and maintains ANA professional standards.

$5,000 sign‑on bonus available, paid in 3 installments: 30 days, 6 months, 1 year. Internal and rehire candidates less than 1 year are not eligible.

• Collect and analyze data, identify expected outcomes, develop and implement individualized plans, coordinate care delivery, evaluate progress.
• Direct care and determine appropriate utilization of assistants involved in patient care.
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary staff; document plans focused on outcomes and communications.
• Participate in shared governance, committee work, and unit projects.
• Evaluate and document patient responses to interventions and individualize care plans accordingly.
• Utilize best available evidence, including research findings, to guide practice decisions.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and analytic skills
• Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) acceptable with commitment to obtain BSN within 3 years of employment

• Experience in a specific clinical area, especially Emergency Room or Pediatric Emergency Room
• Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS)
• Emergency Communications Registered Nurse
• Certified Pediatric Nurse
• Certified Emergency Nurse
