Registered Nurse Neurosciences Intermediate

Job Overview

Full‑time staff nurse position in the 24‑bed Neurosciences unit on a 7am–7:30pm shift with rotating weekends. The unit provides care for patients with acute neurological and spine disorders including traumatic brain injury, subarachnoid hemorrhage, stroke, spinal injury, seizures, and CNS infections, as well as post‑operative neurosurgical and spinal patients.

As a Staff Nurse Inpatient, you will prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care for acutely ill patients through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. You will interact effectively with patients, families, and the health care team while upholding ANA standards of professional nursing practice.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate with others
• Strong analytical abilities
• Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of first day in a clinical nurse role

• Experience in Neurosciences
• Experience in Emergency Room and Pediatric Emergency Room
• Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS)
• Emergency Communications Registered Nurse
• Certified Pediatric Nurse
• Certified Emergency Nursell>
