Specimen Technician

Varies M-F, 1:30pm-9pm w/ rotating Sat, 9am-3pm plus overtime/holidays as needed

* This position is critical to maintaining quality and accuracy in specimen processing, directly supporting laboratory operations and ensuring reliable test results for patients and providers.

** What You'll Do*
* + Perform specimen processing tasks including presort, centrifugation, aliquoting, and imaging

+ Accurately enter high volumes of data (up to 6,000 keystrokes/hour)

+ Transport and deliver specimens within the laboratory

+ Maintain a clean and organized work area in a biohazard environment

+ Follow strict safety, compliance, and quality standards

+ Adapt to a fast-paced, production-focused environment with changing priorities

+ Communicate effectively with team members and leadership

** What We're Looking For*
* + A current, up-to-date resume

+ High School Diploma or equivalent

+ Strong data entry skills with speed and accuracy

+ Basic computer knowledge; lab systems experience is a plus

+ Ability to work in a production and biohazard environment

+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

+ Flexibility to work scheduled hours:
Monday-Friday 1:30 PM-9:00 PM with rotating Saturdays (9:00 AM-3:00 PM), plus overtime/holidays as needed

+ Previous lab, medical, or production experience preferred but not required

+ Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus

+ Ability to sit or stand for extended periods

+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills

+ Ability to meet compliance requirements
