Shift: Mon-Fri, 6a-3p

General Responsibility: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to include troubleshooting, installation, repair and maintenance of production equipment in a safe and timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintains machines individually or with peer assistance to complete tasks effectively.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic and/or electrical problems and make proper corresponding repairs in a safe, efficient and timely manner.
• Document and implement work orders to track machine issues and completed work.
• Proficient in all safety and housekeeping requirements.
• Responsible for training new technical associates as required.
• Perform other related duties as required

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

• Minimum of one-year stable verifiable work history required.
• Demonstrated mechanical capability and a minimum of three-years’ experience in a technical related field required. Technical certificate preferred.
• High school diploma/GED required.
• Must possess strong mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and/or electrical knowledge and experience.
• Must possess basic math skills.
• Must have working knowledge of hand and small power tools.
• Must be a good listener and have the ability to receive instructions over two-way radios, and other communication devices.
• Must possess good communication skills to ensure that clear and concise information is communicated as required.
• Must be able to read and interpret equipment manuals, document and implement work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Must be a self-starter, self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Must be able to multi-task.
• Must be able to become certified on operating a forklift, scissor lift, snorkel lift and overhead crane.

Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to work overtime as well as some irregular hours. This position will work in a reasonably clean production environment. Due to working in a production environment, the exposure to noise is constant. Seasonal weather variations may result in frequent exposure to hot or cold conditions, particularly on the receiving floor and production areas where open doors allow exposure to prevailing weather conditions.

Physical exertion such as pushing, pulling, kneeling or heavy lifting up to 50 pounds is frequent.
