** Role
* * We are seeking a Document Control Specialist to join our Thacker Pass team. In this role, you will be responsible for electronically managing documents and records, maintaining an organized and detailed library of project, process, and operational documentation, and ensuring data integrity and compliance with document control procedures.

The Document Control Specialist will primarily use Hexagon SDX and related systems to administer and control documents that are received, created, or issued as part of the operation of the Thacker Pass Lithium Carbonate Production site. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization committed to innovation, sustainability, and leadership in the clean energy sector.

The role is based at our Winnemucca, NV office during construction and will transition to the Thacker Pass site near Orovada, NV during commissioning and operations. The role reports to the IT Manager. Occasional travel to other LAC offices, project sites, or vendor locations may be required.
** Key Responsibilities
*** Provide leadership of and promote Lithium Nevada’s safety-first culture.  Ensure strict compliance with OSHA and MSHA regulations as well as Lithium Nevada’s site-specific safety program.  Perform all engineering activities with a safety-first mindset.  Promote and foster employee “stop work” authority.  Identify, report and mitigate safety hazards and observations as part of daily activities and safety walks.  Champion safety standards and promote communication and accountability within all production areas.

Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities for the Thacker Pass Mine and Lithium Processing Facility in close coordination with Mining, Commissioning, and Start-Up teams
