ES&H Representative
The ES&H Representative will coordinate Environmental, Safety, and Health disciplines to support implementation of ES&H programs and management systems. The role ensures compliance with applicable safety standards, regulatory requirements, and project commitments while promoting continuous improvement in safety performance across construction operations.
Requirement/Must Have:- Knowledge of OSHA 1926 and OSHA 1910 regulations.
- Experience conducting safety inspections and assessments in construction environments.
- Experience supporting ES&H programs, audits, and corrective action tracking.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis for incident investigations.
- Experience coordinating safety compliance activities across contractors and subcontractors.
- Knowledge of safety programs, engineering systems, and risk mitigation practices.
- Understanding of national safety laws, regulations, and ES&H industry standards.
- Experience managing or overseeing ES&H subcontractors or consultants.
- 8–10 years of relevant ES&H experience with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental, Safety, Health, or related science discipline.
- 12–14 years of relevant ES&H field experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience in construction safety environments.
- Experience leading or supporting ES&H audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
- Experience maintaining ES&H databases and safety performance tracking systems.
- Coordinate ES&H disciplines to implement company safety and environmental management systems.
- Deliver toolbox talks and participate in site safety meetings with project teams and contractors.
- Support development and maintenance of ES&H programs, procedures, and systems.
- Maintain ES&H databases including incident tracking, audits, findings, and corrective actions.
- Perform statistical analysis of safety data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Lead or support risk assessments, mitigation planning, and monitoring activities.
- Prepare reports, documentation, and communications for ES&H program execution.
- Coordinate incident notifications and lead or support incident investigations.
- Conduct root cause analysis and prepare detailed incident reports.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to reduce hazards and risks.
- Participate in safety training, emergency preparedness, and compliance programs.
- Conduct contractor orientation sessions and support ES&H audits and inspections.
- Coach contractors and safety teams on ES&H standards and expectations.
- Coordinate ES&H recognition programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead safety initiatives in a field construction environment.
- Strong communication and training delivery skills.
- Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and apply them effectively.
- Strong leadership in contractor safety management and coordination.
