** Role
* * We are seeking a Safety Supervisor to join our Health and Safety Team. In this role, you will serve as the on-site safety leader for day-to-day Health and Safety (H&S) operations at Thacker Pass, working directly with frontline teams to ensure compliance, promote a strong safety culture, and drive continuous improvement.

The Safety Supervisor will lead the implementation of safety programs, manage permit systems, oversee contractor safety compliance, and directly supervise Safety Specialists on site. The plant will consist of a sulfuric acid plant and processes for clay beneficiation, acid leaching, neutralization, crystallization, chemical precipitation, solid/liquid separations, and ion exchange. The successful candidate will have demonstrated supervisory experience, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to drive safety performance in OSHA and MSHA regulated environments.

The role is based at the Thacker Pass site and reports to the Safety Manager. Occasional travel to other LAC offices, project sites, or vendor locations may be required.

*** Serve as the primary on-site safety point of contact for Thacker Pass day-to-day operations, providing direct oversight and visible safety leadership across all work areas.
* Supervise Safety Specialists, providing guidance, task delegation, performance feedback, and professional development support.
* Partner with the Safety Manager to implement site-level safety programs, ensuring alignment with LAC-wide standards and regulatory requirements.
* Represent the Safety Manager on site in their absence, serving as the acting safety authority for operational decisions.
* Collaborate with operations supervisors, contractors, and department leads to proactively identify and mitigate hazards before work begins.
