Step into a rewarding contract position as a Registered Behavior Technician, working in an elementary (K-4) environment near Winnetka, Illinois. This opportunity spans the upcoming school year, beginning as soon as possible and extending through June 12, 2027. You'll enjoy a consistent Monday Friday schedule, totaling 35 hours per week, with your day running from 8:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.including a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks.
As an essential member supporting students' growth and well-being, your expertise will be especially valued in this elementary building setting, focusing on one dedicated caseload. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in a school-based environment and possess a strong commitment to student-centered support.
Qualifications and Desired
Experience:
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
- Minimum of two years experience in a school-based setting
- Familiarity with behavioral intervention plans and data collection
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with educators and families
- Strong problem-solving abilities and an energetic, compassionate approach to supporting students
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention strategies under supervision of a BCBA
- Collect and maintain accurate data on student performance and progress
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to foster student success
- Provide direct 1:1 support to students, encouraging positive behavior and engagement
- Participate in team meetings and contribute insights for continuous improvement
