Position OverviewThe incumbent is responsible for providing clerical support to the Manager(s) Health Services, including processing job postings and related paperwork, maintaining position control, registering new hires in orientation sessions, ensuring that the Manager(s) is/are aware of staffing levels, maintaining information and employee profiles in the ESP staff scheduling system, updating the day to day schedule changes in ESP and running staffing reports as requested.
Coordinates appointment calendar for the Manager(s) and performs other clerical duties as assigned.
- Minimum two years previous related experience, preferably in a health care setting.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and decision‑making skills required.
- Must have excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.
- Complete Grade 12 education, Manitoba standards, required.
- Successful completion of a recognized secretarial training program required.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Qualifications And Skills- Typing 50 wpm, medical terminology (pass mark 75%) required.
- Knowledge of personal computers and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Preference will be given to those applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, beliefs and practices.
- Must be able to function in a high volume, high traffic environment.
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
