POSITION SUMMARY

The People Services Administrator Co‑op provides administrative support to the Human Resources team while gaining hands‑on experience in a professional office environment. This role supports daily HR operations through data entry, document management, scheduling, and general administrative assistance.

This position offers meaningful exposure to Human Resources administration while allowing the successful student to develop practical workplace skills, support short‑term projects, and contribute to a variety of People Services initiatives across the organization.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Enter, update, and maintain employee information in HR and benefits systems
  • Assist with administrative processing including new hires, employee changes, and documentation updates
  • Organize, scan, and file confidential employee records in accordance with retention guidelines
  • Respond to routine internal inquiries and direct requests as appropriate
  • Support printing and issuing employee identification badges and updating access privileges
  • Assist with scheduling meetings, interviews, and departmental activities
  • Provide administrative support to recruitment activities including job posting support and interview coordination
  • Prepare and organize HR‑related documentation and reports
  • Support employee recognition programs and People Services initiatives
  • Order office supplies and assist with inventory tracking
  • Participate in short‑term projects and daily administrative tasks as assigned

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
  • Currently enrolled in a Human Resource Management program.
  • Strong interest in administrative and Human Resources operations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with discretion
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline‑driven environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment
