Reporting to the Manager Health Services, the secretary plays a key role in supporting various pediatric anesthesia functions, including the Malignant Hyperthermia and Cholinesterase Registries. Your responsibilities will involve managing schedules for staff, handling inquiries, and preparing reports. Candidates should possess robust secretarial skills and experience within a medical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Schedule staff anesthesiologists and fellows for clinical services
• Maintain genealogical family trees for provincial registries
• Manage all incoming correspondence and calls
• Prepare general and confidential correspondence as required
• Create administrative and statistical reports
Requirements:
• Minimum two years secretarial/administrative experience
• High school education and recognized secretarial training
• Typing speed of 50 wpm and knowledge of medical terminology
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Ventis preferred
• Ability to multitask and function under stress
