Introduction

The Department of Families is seeking a highly motivated and empathetic individual to fill the Office Manager position located in Winnipeg. Duties:
The Office Manager provides leadership and coordination of administrative operations for the Centralized Services and Disability Support Program, ensuring the efficient functioning of the office.

The position oversees administrative staff, manages workflow, records systems, and financial processing, and supports senior management through effective coordination of information, communication, and documentation. The role is responsible for providing training, guidance, and input into performance management to support a consistent and effective administrative team. It maintains office systems, manages incoming correspondence and document flow, and ensures timely handling of priorities and operational requirements.

The position also oversees administrative and financial processes such as invoice coding and processing, office supply management, and SAP-related tracking activities to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational continuity.

    Qualifications:

    Essential:
  • Experience performing clerical and administrative duties in an office environment, such as data entry, preparing specialized or highly complex documents and processing detailed documentation and manual and electronic file maintenance
  • Experience in financial management including processing accounts payable/receivable
  • Experience in human resource management, with the ability to lead and supervise a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to independently manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Effective written communication skills with experience drafting and editing correspondence or other communications
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Desired:
  • Experience interpreting and applying acts, regulations and/or policies and procedures
  • Conditions of Employment:
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Must be able to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Search
